1865 Three Cent Nickel in Copper, Judd-411
1865 3C Three Cent Nickel, Judd-411, Pollock-482, High R.6, PR63 Brown PCGS. The design on both sides is similar to that used on regular issue 1865 Three Cent Nickels except the ribbon ends are longer and merged with the lower reverse border. Struck in copper with a plain edge. Flashes of emerald-green iridescence emerge after a slight tilt under a light source, while several planchet streaks are noted on the right side of the obverse.(#60592)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29HZ, PCGS# 60592, GSID# 12774)
