Copper Die Trials For The 1865 Three Cent Nickel, Judd-413

1865 3C Three Cent Nickel, Judd-413, Pollock-484, R.5, PR65 Brown PCGS. Regular die trials issue of 1865. Struck in copper with a plain edge. This issue was most likely made for sale to collectors, and more than a dozen pieces are believed known today. Fully struck in all areas, the surfaces are deep brown with a blue undertone--this depth of color being responsible for the subdued reflectivity in the fields.
