    Description

1865 Indian Cent, Judd-406, Pollock-476, R.7, PR 50 Holed. From the adopted dies of 1865 with the 1 in the date even with the left edge of the truncation of the bust. Struck in nickel or nickel-silver composition with a plain edge. Deep gray patina with lighter, almost brilliant accents on the highpoints of the design where the piece also shows slight friction from handling. A hole was neatly drilled at 12 o'clock on the obverse, obviously for suspension.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29HS, PCGS# 60583)
