    1866 Seated Dollar in Copper, Judd-541

    1866 $1 One Dollar, Judd-541, Pollock-606, R.5-6, PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. The regular dies With Motto Seated Dollar design first commercially used in this transitional year. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Both sides are predominately a deep pumpkin-orange color with rose-violet overtones. There are just a few well scattered obverse carbon flecks over modestly mirrored surfaces.
