    Popular George Washington Motif

    1866 5C Five Cents, Judd-470, Pollock-562, Low R.6, PR53 PCGS. A bust of George Washington faces right on the obverse, the legend IN GOD WE TRUST above and the date below. A wreath of laurel on the reverse encloses a large numeral 5 with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. A nicely detailed light gray piece that shows light wear. Housed in a green-label PCGS holder.
