1867 Dies Trial Quarter in Copper

1867 25C Quarter Dollar, Judd-590, Pollock-654, High R.7, PR62
Brown PCGS. Struck from regular issue dies in copper with a
reeded edge. Saul Teichman's registry posted at the Newman
Numismatic Portal itemizes seven examples and mentions that two
others were stolen from an Iowa museum. This sharply defined proof
has tinges of mint red on its walnut-brown surfaces with delicate
field-to-device contrast. Population: 1 in 62 Brown, 1 finer
