1868 Seated Liberty Dime in Nickel
    Judd-641, Premium Gem

1868 10C Ten Cents, Judd-641, Pollock-713, Low R.7, PR66 NGC. The designs are similar to the familiar Seated Liberty design, but the date is moved to the reverse where it appears in miniature beneath the denomination. An oversized six-pointed star is incongruously located on the upper field just inside the wreath. Per Judd, "David Cassel has revealed that these coins were struck in 1863 from a die erroneously dated 1868. The obverse without date is same as that used to strike" Judd-331, a Postage Currency dime. Struck in nickel with a reeded edge. This sharply struck stone-gray and almond-gold specimen is pristine aside from the infrequent minute gray fleck.
Ex: Lemus Collection, Queller Family Collection Part Two (Heritage, 1/2009), lot 1679, which realized $5,318.75. (NGC ID# 29NW, PCGS# 60859)

The way you grouped lots, photographed, and presented the material was too notch. I was impressed that you took the time to attribute coins to the Krause reference as their "plate coin" and that many of your descriptions included pertinent facts and infor
