Description

Interesting 1868 Pattern Three Cent Nickel

1868 3CN Three Cent Nickel, Judd-618, Pollock-687, R.5, PR 64 PCGS. Similar to the regular issue from but an entirely different die. The Roman numerals on the reverse are smooth and without ribs. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. This is a boldly reflective example with minimal milky patina. There do not appear to be any hairlines or contact marks that would rule out a full Gem grade.

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29NA, PCGS# 60834, GSID# 13163)
