Description
1868 3CN Three Cent Nickel, Judd-618, Pollock-687, R.5, PR65 NGC. Similar to the regular issue, but from an entirely different die. The Roman numerals on the reverse are smooth and without ribs. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. Modest cameo contrast is evident on both sides of this smooth, champagne tinged Gem. A little light patina is seen here and there in the obverse field.
