Description
Judd-697 Standard Silver Dime of 1869
1869 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-697, Pollock-776, R.6-7, PR 63 PCGS. Standard Silver design, the head of Liberty is crowned with three large stars and the motto is placed beneath the bust. The reverse has 10 CENTS in the center, surrounded by a thick wreath of oak and laurel, at the upper periphery is STANDARD SILVER with the date below. Struck in silver with a plain edge. The obverse is essentially brilliant with the exception of pale russet peripheral accents, the reverse is evenly toned in lilac-russet shades. The few scattered hairlines serve to limit the grade, but the overall eye appeal is quite pleasing for the PR 63 designation.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29RA, PCGS# 60922, GSID# 13239)
