    1869 Standard Silver Dime

    1869 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-696, Pollock-775, R.5, PR67 ★ Cameo NGC. A Liberty head faces right on the obverse, wearing a Phrygian cap with three large stars. The reverse, the only Standard Silver dime die of the year, reads STANDARD SILVER around the upper edge, with 10 CENTS inside a wreath of oak and laurel. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Rich cobalt-blue and ruby-red bands adorn the margins while the centers display only light butter-gold toning. A needle-sharp Superb Gem that appears flawless except for a single brief lint mark (as coined) within the 0 of the denomination. The single finest Judd-696 specimen certified by NGC (9/12).
