    Vibrantly Toned Superb 1869 Standard Silver 10 Cents, Judd-696

    1869 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-696, Pollock-775, R.5, PR67 ★ Cameo NGC. The head of Liberty is crowned with three large stars and the motto is displayed in a banner beneath the bust. The reverse has 10 CENTS in the center, surrounded by a thick wreath of oak and laurel, at the upper periphery is STANDARD SILVER with the date below. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Ocean-blue and ruby colors frame the lightly toned centers of this splendid Superb Gem. Well struck and practically immaculate, the present piece can be identified in future auction appearances by a right-leaning lintmark (as made) within the lower half of the 0 in 10.(#60921)
