    1869 Standard Silver Ten Cents in Copper

    1869 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-699, Pollock-778, High R.7, PR64 Brown PCGS. Standard Silver design, the head of Liberty is crowned with three large stars and the motto in beneath the bust. The reverse has 10 CENTS in the center, surrounded by a thick wreath of oak and laurel, at the upper periphery is STANDARD SILVER with the date below. Struck in copper with a plain edge. Attractive medium brown patina with pronounced reddish accents in selected protected areas. One dark spot is mentioned at the top of Liberty's nose for pedigree purposes.
