    Deep Cameo Gem Proof Aluminum
    1869 Standard Silver Dime, Judd-706

    1869 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-706, Pollock-785, Low R.7, PR65 Deep Cameo PCGS Secure. Ex: Stonewall Collection. Standard Silver design with the head of Liberty facing right with a diadem in her hair, motto below, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above. The reverse has 10 CENTS in the center, surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel, with STANDARD SILVER 1869 around the margin. Struck in aluminum with a reeded edge. Both sides are untoned with light die striations in the fields and only a couple of specks of oxidation to the left of the S in SILVER. Sharply contrasted and extraordinarily well preserved for this elusive Standard Silver issue.
    Ex: Ft. Lauderdale FUN (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 10470, which realized $3,335.
