    Lovely 1869 Standard Silver Dime, Judd-708

    1869 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-708, Pollock-787, R.5, PR63 NGC. A seated figure of Liberty faces left on the obverse. Thirteen stars surround her, the date 1870 is below. She supports a shield with her right hand, and holds an olive branch in her left. A liberty pole is behind the shield and a scroll crossing the shield is inscribed LIBERTY in incused letters. The reverse is the type used for regular issue Seated halves. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Speckled reddish-gold and blue toning gravitates to the margins on this flashy, conservatively grade specimen.
