    Description

Toned Pattern 1869 Standard Silver Quarter, Copper Striking

1869 25C Standard Silver Quarter Dollar, Judd-729, Pollock-810, R.7, PR66 Brown NGC. Standard Silver design with Liberty wearing a diadem and scroll below, the reverse reads STANDARD SILVER 1869 around the rim with 25 CENTS in the center of an oak and laurel wreath. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Both sides are richly toned in glossy-brown shades that lighten somewhat in the obverse field. Certain angles reveal orange-red and lilac accents around some of the devices and rims, but neither side exhibits any bothersome contact marks or hairlines. A no-questions Gem.
