    1869 Quarter Dollar Dies Trial in Copper
    Judd-739, PR63 Brown

    1869 25C Quarter Dollar, Judd-739, Pollock-820, High R.7, PR63 Brown PCGS. A dies trial of the regular-issue quarter dollar design for the year 1869. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Approximately one half-dozen Judd-739 quarter patterns are known. Each side is completely toned in steel-blue patina with reddish-brown accents on the high points and around the hidden areas. Moderately glassy surfaces show few serious marks.
