Description
PR 66 Three Cent Nickel Pattern, Judd-676
1869 3CN Three Cent Nickel, Judd-676, Pollock-753, 755, R.5, PR 66 NGC. Similar to the adopted design except that the surface of the Roman numeral is smooth and the date larger. Distinguished from the other three cent nickel pattern of this year by the presence of short reverse dentils and a longer ribbon tip. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. Untoned and moderately reflective. Mostly brilliant and nicely reflective.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29PV, PCGS# 60901, GSID# 13347)
