    Description

1869 3CN Three Cent Nickel, Judd-676, Pollock-753, R.4, PR50 PCGS. Judd-676 differs in only subtle ways from the contemporary three cent nickel, so it is not surprising that a few of these patterns ended up in circulation. This ivory-gray specimen is struck in nickel with a plain edge, and only briefly entered commerce before an alert observer set it aside.
