    1869 Three Cent Nickel Pattern, PR64
    Judd-676, Small Wreath, Plain Pillars

    1869 3CN Three Cent Nickel, Judd-676, Pollock-753, R.4, PR64 PCGS. Similar to the contemporary three cent nickel, except the denomination pillars are smooth, and the wreath is smaller and distant from the dentils. The Pollock variant with a long lower left ribbon end. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. A nicely struck and moderately mirrored Choice proof. Minuscule gray freckles overlie cream-gray surfaces. Certified in an old green label holder.
