Description
PR67 Cameo Judd-754 1869 Standard Silver Half
1869 50C Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-754, Pollock-838, R.5-6, PR67 Cameo NGC. Formerly offered as lot 7170 in our June Long Beach Sale, where it was described as, "A bust of Liberty wearing a headband inscribed LIBERTY and ornamented with a star faces right, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA surrounds the figure, and a scroll with IN GOD WE TRUST is below. The reverse has 50 CENTS centered in a wreath of oak and laurel with STANDARD SILVER above and the date 1869 below. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Attractive light lemon patina graces both sides of this well struck Superb Gem. The fields have raised die lines, as struck due to die polish, but the surfaces are seemingly pristine. This is the finest certified Judd-754 pattern, according to the population reports of NGC and PCGS."Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29T5, PCGS# 60984, GSID# 13372)
