    Rare 1870 Judd-1020 Seated Dollar Pattern in Copper

    1870 $1 Seated Liberty Dollar, Judd-1020, Pollock-1155, Low R.7, PR50 PCGS. The regular dies for the 1870 Seated Liberty dollar. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Only about six or seven of these pieces survive in a variety of different grades. This piece has probably been cleaned, and now has acquired intermingled reddish-brown and darker olive with a small area of green corrosion along the left obverse border.
