Description

1870 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-845, Pollock-944, R.7, PR66 Brown PCGS. Standard Silver design with a right-facing bust of Liberty on the obverse and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on a scroll below. Liberty is wearing a diadem, and the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is around the border. The denomination 10 CENTS and the date 1870 are centered on the reverse within a wreath of cotton and corn. The word STANDARD is at the top. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Tinges of orange-red luster hug the denticles and peripheral devices of this otherwise toned, orange-brown representative. Golden-blue undertones are noted in the center of the reverse.
