    1870 Standard Silver Dime in Aluminum
    Judd-871, PR61

    1870 10C Standard Silver Dime, Judd-871, Pollock-968, High R.7, PR61 PCGS. Ex: Simpson. Liberty faces right and wears a headband ornamented with a star. The reverse features an oak and laurel wreath with STANDARD SILVER above and the date below. Struck in aluminum with a reeded edge. This pattern, one of probably fewer than six extant, showcases blushes of golden color across flashy surfaces with evidence of minor corrosion -- a common trait among improperly stored aluminum products. More attractive than the grade suggests.
