    1870 Standard Silver Dime, PR63
    Struck in Aluminum, Judd-854

    1870 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-854, Pollock-962, High R.7, PR63 NGC. A bust of Liberty faces right on the obverse. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is around the periphery and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is on a scroll below. The reverse displays the denomination 10 CENTS and the date 1870 within a wreath of cotton and corn. The word STANDARD is at the top. Struck in aluminum with a plain edge. A well struck and unabraded steel-gray specimen. Void of hairlines, though the cheek has a slender flan streak and the reverse exergue is mildly granular.
