Lovely (Mostly Red) 1870 Pattern Quarter, Judd-885

1870 25C Quarter Dollar, Judd-885, Pollock-983, R.6-7, PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. The obverse depicts a portrait of Liberty seated left with thirteen stars around the periphery and the date 1870 below. The reverse is the same used to produced regular issue 1870 Seated Quarters. Struck in copper with a plain edge. The fields still retain much of their original sparkle and red sheen with a light overlay of brown evident over the highpoints of the devices and in the obverse fields. A beautifully designed pattern and sure to be of interest to a wide variety of bidders.
