1870 Quarter in Silver
Judd-882, PR64
Rare William Barber Pattern
1870 25C Quarter, Judd-882, Pollock-980, High R.7, PR64
PCGS. A regular issue Seated quarter reverse is paired with a
pattern obverse. A William Barber rendition of the Seated Liberty
motif with a large rectangular shield, a banner inscribed Liberty,
and a Liberty pole behind Liberty's legs and left (facing) arm.
Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Beautifully toned with
rose-colored centers that are surrounded by rich rings of
iridescence at the margins.Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2015), lot 6737.
