    1870 25C Standard Silver Quarter Dollar, Judd-879, Pollock-976, R.7, PR65 Red and Brown NGC. William Barber's Seated Liberty design for the Standard Silver series, posed with shield, pole, and a small cap. The reverse carries the denomination inside a wreath of corn and cotton with STANDARD above. Struck in copper with a plain edge. On the obverse the copper has turned a deep iridescent blue and cherry-red, while the reverse is almost exclusively deep red. Sharply detailed.
