Description
1870 Standard Silver Quarter, Judd-894
1870 25C Standard Silver Quarter Dollar, Judd-894, Pollock-1001, R.5, PR64 PCGS. Standard Silver design with a bust of Liberty facing right on the obverse. Liberty wears a ribbon inscribed LIBERTY, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is at the periphery, the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is on a scroll below. The reverse depicts the denomination 25 CENTS and the date 1870 within a wreath of corn and cotton. The word STANDARD is at the top. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. This specimen is moderately toned in steel-violet and golden shades, and is removed from Gem consideration by wispy obverse hairlines.(#61138)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29X2, PCGS# 61138, GSID# 13606)
