    Description

    1870 25C Standard Silver Quarter Dollar, Judd-900, Pollock-1015, R.5, PR58 PCGS. Standard Silver design with the figure of Liberty wearing a headband inscribed LIBERTY, with a scroll that occupies the exergual space below the bust where the date would normally be placed. The reverse has 25 CENTS 1870 in the center and is surrounded by a wreath of cotton and corn with the word STANDARD above. Silver with a reeded edge. Light friction appears on the highpoints of both sides. Golden-red patina appears in the center and at the periphery, separated by blue-violet toning. A beautiful and affordable example of this Standard Silver pattern.
