Patinated PR66 1870 Standard Silver Quarter
Judd-901, Plain Edge, Struck in Silver

1870 25C Standard Silver Quarter Dollar, Judd-901, Pollock-1016, High R.6, PR66 PCGS Secure. Ex: Stonewall Collection. The bust of Liberty faces right on the obverse, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on a scroll below. Liberty's hair is tied in a bun, and her headband is ornamented with a star. On the reverse, the denomination 25 CENTS and date 1870 are in a wreath of cotton and corn, with the inscription STANDARD above. Struck in silver with a plain edge. Deep navy-blue peripheries encompass golden-brown and lilac-red centers. Boldly struck and undisturbed with only a couple of trivial mint-made lint marks precluding perfection.
    From The Stonewall Collection.
