Judd-798, PR66 Red and Brown

1870 3CS Three Cent Silver, Judd-798, Pollock-885, Low R.7, PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Ex: Simpson. A William Barber rendition of a seated Liberty supporting a shield and Liberty banner with her right hand. Her left hand holds an olive branch. A Liberty pole stands upright behind her. Regular three cent silver reverse. Struck in copper with a plain edge. This high-grade specimen displays considerable cherry-red and orange-gold, along with hints of apple-green toning. The strike is bold, and a few flecks on the right obverse field preclude perfection. Population: 1 in 66 Red and Brown, 0 finer (9/20).
