1870 Standard Silver Half in Silver
    Judd-958, Richly Toned PR64

1870 50C Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-958, Pollock-1109, High R.6, PR64 PCGS. Standard Silver design showing Liberty wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY in raised letters. The reverse reads 50 CENTS 1870 in the center and is surrounded by the usual wreath of cotton and corn. Struck in silver with a plain edge. While the centers have the slight softness of definition that is characteristic of this higher relief type, the surfaces are carefully preserved beneath the vivid rose, gold, cobalt-blue, and salmon iridescence.
