    1870 50C Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-985, Pollock-1106, R.8 -- Environmental Damage -- PCGS Genuine. Proof, Unc Details. The obverse features a diademed bust of Liberty facing right, her hair tied in a bun. The reverse has the denomination 50 CENTS in an oak and laurel wreath with STANDARD SILVER above and the date 1870 below. Struck in aluminum with a reeded edge. This well-struck specimen is mostly untoned but has a granular gray area between 12 and 2 o'clock on the reverse. The STA in STANDARD also shows corrosion, and moderate verdigris is noted near the ST in STATES and the right-side star.
