    1870 Pattern Half Dime in Copper, Judd-817

    1870 Half Dime, Judd-817, Pollock-906, R.6, PR 65 Red and Brown NGC. A seated figure of Liberty faces left with a globe, and free-standing liberty pole. The reverse is the same design used to coin regular issue 1870 half dimes. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. The moderately toned surfaces are covered with intense splashes of scarlet, sea-green, and blue iridescence.
