    Magnificent 1870 Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-987

    1870 Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-987, Pollock-1116, R.7, PR 67 NGC. Standard Silver design with Liberty facing right wearing a headband with a star, a scroll below, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above. The reverse has 50 CENTS in the center and is surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel with 1870 below and STANDARD SILVER above. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. An absolutely stunning pattern that is hairline-free, the only imperfections are tiny lint marks that are mostly seen with magnification on the reverse. Attractively toned with splashes of golden-brown coloration over each side.
