1871 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-1080, Pollock-1216, High R.6, PR63 NGC. A seated figure of Liberty faces left on the obverse with the date below. She wears an Indian headdress and supports a liberty pole with her right hand. Her left hand rests on a globe inscribed LIBERTY. Behind her are two flags, one with 13 stars. Thirteen stars surround her at the border. The reverse depicts 10 CENTS within a wreath of cotton and corn with the inscription STANDARD above. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Apparently struck from slightly rusted dies, each side also shows light die striations which have imparted a deeply reflective mirror-like surface on both obverse and reverse. Lightly toned.(#61339)

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
