    1871 Indian Princess Quarter in Silver
    Judd-1099, PR64

    1871 25C Quarter Dollar, Judd-1099, Pollock-1235, High R.7, PR64 NGC. The obverse is the Indian Princess design, with 13 stars ringing the rim and date 1871 in exergue, while the reverse is from the regular Seated Liberty quarter die of the year. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. The fields are nicely mirrored, and each side has lighter centers that deepen to a lovely golden around the margins. The devices are sharply defined throughout, there are a few tiny planchet voids on both obverse and reverse. A trace of a fingerprint is located in the upper left part of the obverse.
