Description
Popular 1875 Twenty Cent Pattern
Judd-1407, PR64 Cameo
1875 20C Judd-1407, Pollock-1550, Low R.6, PR64 Cameo PCGS.
The obverse is nearly identical to the adopted design, but LIBERTY
is incused rather than raised as on the regular issue coins. The
reverse is recognized as the popular 1/5 OF A DOLLAR design. Struck
in silver with a plain edge. Just over a dozen pieces are believed
known today in silver. This is a lovely example that shows stark
contrast between the deeply mirrored fields and frosted devices.
Intricately detailed. The fields show a few light marks that
account for the less-than-Gem grade.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2ABA, PCGS# 61714, GSID# 14517)
