Description
Die Trials Striking of the 1876 Liberty Ten Dollar
1876 $10 Ten Dollar, Judd-1486 Gilt, Pollock-1639, R.7, PR63 NGC. Die trials striking of the 1876 Eagle, struck in copper with a reeded edge, then gilt. Both sides are uniformly reflective with a bright, green-gold sheen. The number of wispy hairlines is minimal for the assigned grade, and the devices display an exactness of detail that could only be found on a specimen striking. A rare opportunity to acquire a representative of this pattern Liberty Eagle.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2ADE, PCGS# 71808, Greysheet# 14622)
