proof 1876 Liberty eagle dies, but in copper with a reeded edge.
Judd-1486 was struck as part of a denominational off-metal
Centennial-year proof set. Saul Teichman depicts only three
specimens of this rare pattern. The deep brick-red surfaces reveal
mauve, jade-green, and navy-blue colors when rotated under a light.
Well struck and attractive. One small spot noted near the first A
in AMERICA. Population: 1 in 63 Red and Brown, 2 finer (8/25).Ex: Dr. William A.
