Barber's "Sailor Head" Design on a Dollar Pattern

1876 Dollar, Judd-1458A, Pollock-1607, R.7, PR 64 Red and Brown PCGS. William Barber's so-called "Sailor Head" design, that features Liberty facing left, wearing a coronet, her hair tied in the back with two ribbons trailing, thus resembling a sailor's cap. The reverse has ONE DOLLAR in the center and is surrounded by an olive wreath with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above and E PLURIBUS UNUM below. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Evenly mellowed brown patina over each side except for an outline of flaming red around the devices. A few spots on the obverse account for the grade.

The outcome of the auction far exceeded my best hopes and would not likely have been as successful with out your sound advice on where to present the coin and how best to set the reserve. Throughout the process your availability , support and knowledge were exceptional.
