1878 $1 Dollar, Judd-1554, Pollock-1737, R.7, PR63 PCGS. Liberty wears a beaded coronet and faces left. The stars are arranged 7 x 6, separated by IN GOD WE TRUST with the date below. The reverse features a standing eagle with spread wings, clutching an olive branch and arrows. E PLURIBUS UNUM is above in gothic letters. The border displays UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR with the legends separated by two stars. This is the Pollock variety with star 13 close to the curl and the upright of the B in PLURIBUS centered between the TE in STATES. Charles Barber's rejected silver dollar design. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. A fully struck chocolate-brown representative that displays lavender, cobalt-blue, and olive-green shaded when rotated beneath a light.
