Description

Full Red Superb Gem 1879 Morgan Dollar Pattern, Judd-1612

1879 $1 Morgan Dollar, Judd-1612, Pollock-1808, R.6, PR67 Red NGC. A pattern Morgan dollar, showing the adopted obverse with a reverse that displays a broad and imposing "shield type" eagle with spread wings. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Another pristine, full red pattern dollar from the Genaitis Collection. The surfaces show even, cherry-red color over both sides with occasional flashes of lime-green here and there. Deeply mirrored and obviously problem-free, a pattern of unsurpassable quality. Accompanied by PCGS insert 3682273 and also graded MS67 Red by them.
From the Genaitis Collection of 1879 Coinage.

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2AH3, PCGS# 81990, Greysheet# 14878)
