    1879 Morgan Dollar in Copper
    Judd-1616, PR67+ Brown

1879 $1 Morgan Dollar, Judd-1616, Pollock-1812, Low R.7, PR67+ Brown PCGS Secure. The obverse depicts the regular dies design for the Morgan dollar, while the reverse features an eagle with spread wings holding an olive branch in its right talon and three long arrows in his left. Both sides display E PLURIBUS UNUM, which made the pattern unlikely to be adopted. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This is a magnificent example whose fields are deeply reflective, a trait that further enhances the light blue patina that covers each side. Just the faintest remnants of red can still be seen surrounding the eagle. The surfaces appear flawless.
