1879 25C Morgan Quarter Dollar, Judd-1593, Pollock-1787, R.6-7, PR 64 NGC. The Morgan design as adopted for the head of the dollar of 1878, but adapted to the smaller format of the quarter. The reverse features an erect eagle with raised wings. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Milky gray-violet patina on the obverse tends to mute the innate reflective qualities, while the reverse is only framed in blue and violet toning and exhibits a bright, watery sheen.
