    1882 No Cents Liberty Nickel
    Judd-1690, PR65 Cameo

1882 5C Liberty Head Five Cents, Judd-1690, Pollock-1892, R.5, PR65 Cameo PCGS. A Liberty nickel pattern that closely approximates the issued 1883 No Cents variety, although there are slight differences in the positioning of the devices relative to the stars and peripheral legends. USPatterns.com calls it "a popular precursor to the Liberty nickel." Struck in nickel with a plain edge. A razor-sharp Gem with a nicely frosted portrait and smooth, flashy fields. The surfaces are unabraded and lightly toned silver-gray. Only a couple of tiny flecks preclude an even finer grade.
