    1882 Copper Shield Nickel Pattern
    Judd-1694, PR64 Red

    1882 5C Shield Five Cents, Judd-1694, Pollock-1896, R.7, PR64 Red PCGS. CAC. The obverse is similar to the regular-issue Shield nickel design, but without the ornamental ball at the base of the shield. The reverse is the same type used to coin 1882 Shield nickels. Struck in copper with a plain edge. Full, fiery-red mint luster is present over each side, the only grade limitations are light flyspecks of carbon scattered about.
