1883 Liberty Nickel Pattern

1883 5C Liberty Head Five Cents, Judd-1710, Pollock-1914, R.5, PR66+ Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC. The obverse is similar to that on regular issue 1883 Liberty nickels, but UNITED STATES OF AMERICA substitutes for 13 stars around the periphery. The reverse reads 50 N. / 50C. within a wreath of corn and cotton, FIVE above and CENTS is below. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. This precisely struck high grade pattern is untoned with the appearance of aluminum alloy. Void of post-strike detractions. The margins display minor strike-throughs, as produced.
