(1920) Pilgrim Half in Brass

1920 50C Pilgrim Half Dollar, Brass, Pollock-7030, MS65 PCGS Secure. Struck from similar dies to the adopted Pilgrim half dollar. Struck in brass with a reeded edge. Listed in the Pollock reference, but this piece is not listed in Judd. On USPatterns.com, Saul states it "is believed to be counterfeit." He goes on to list the design differences between this piece and the adopted half dollars. Obviously brass, the surfaces are the expected yellow hue with lilac interspersed over each side.
